HISTORY
The Wooden Chair opened its doors on February 10, 1993, and has grown to be one of the most unique restaurants in Stevens Point.
The eatery is located in an ornate structure that was built in 1891 to house the First National Bank. The exterior Lake Superior brownstone is still in its original condition and the interior holds many of its original features including oak wainscoting, fireplaces, and brick walls.
Menu items like The Bankers Omelette and The Spindle pay homage to the building's origins and notable decor. When you eat at The Wooden Chair, you're a part of its history.
